From the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean and from San Marino of Italy to Fisterra of Spain, the edge of the ancient world, cycling along the Portuguese coast and following the spiritual path from Camino de Santiago to San Sebastian, we travel a total of 5000 kilometers – a cycling exploration of places and people.
Our 5th cycling adventure is dedicated to the campaign for the repayment of the debt that burdens the people of the Social Center / Migrant’s Place of Thessaloniki (or just “Steki”, from the Greek word for “a place to hangout”), a debt owed to the Public Power Corporation of Greece and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
6 years ago, when the only Refugee Shelter in the city of Thessaloniki was threatened with closure, the Antiracist Initiative of Thessaloniki and the people of Steki put forth the legal name of their organization as the bearer of the electricity costs in order for the Shelter to remain open and the families living there to stay safe and not become homeless.

Dalle coste del Mediterrano all'oceano Atlantico, da San Marino a Capo Fisterra (in Spagna), il margine del mondo antico, pedalando lungo le coste portoghesi e seguendo il Cammino di Santiago fino a San Sebastiàn, viaggeremo per un totale di 5.000 km. Un'esplorazione sulle due ruote di luoghi e persone.
La nostra quinta avventura in bicicletta è dedicata alla campagna per ripagare il debito che pesa sulle spalle del centro sociale/centro di migranti di Salonicco (o solo Steki, nella parola greco che indica un luogo di ritrovo).
Un debito preteso dalla compagnia elettrica greca e dalla municipalità di Salonicco.Sei anni fa, quando l'unico “Rifugio per rifugiati” esistente in città era minacciato di sgombero, l'Iniziativa anti-razzista di Salonicco e il collettivo dello Steki si intestarono le utenze elettriche per permettere al Rifugio di rimanere aperto e alle famiglie che ci vivevano di continuare a vivere in un luogo sicuro, evitando di trovarsi senza casa.Maggiori informazioni sulla campagna e sulle modalità per sostenerla: keepstekipluggedin.com

Από τις ακτές της Μεσογείου, μέχρι τον Ατλαντικό και από το San Marino της Ιταλίας μέχρι την άκρη του αρχαίου κόσμου Fisterra στην Ισπανία, ποδηλατώντας στα παράλια της Πορτογαλίας και ακολουθώντας το πνευματικό μονοπάτι από το Camino de Santiago μέχρι το San Sebastian, διανύουμε συνολικά 5000χλμ ποδηλατικής εξερεύνησης τόπων & ανθρώπων.
Η 5η μας ποδηλατική αναζήτηση αφιερώνεται στην καμπάνια εξόφλησης του χρεους προς τη ΔΕΗ που βαραίνει το κοινωνικό κέντρο - στέκι μεταναστ(ρι)ών Θεσσαλονίκης και τους ανθρώπους που το πλαισιώνουν, καθώς 6 χρόνια πριν, όταν απειλήθηκε ο ξενώνας προσφύγων με κλείσιμο, έβαλαν τις πλάτες τους άνθρωποι του στεκιού και της Αντιρατσιστικής Πρωτοβουλίας Θεσσαλονίκης, ώστε να κρατηθεί ο ξενώνας ζωντανός και οι οικογένειές του ασφαλείς.
